If you’re a teen and experiencing stress, anxiety, or even panic attacks, we’re here to tell you that you are not alone, you’re not broken and you can learn to feel calm and take control over the anxiety that may feel uncontrollable or scary in your life.
Karen will teach you and your friends about your amazing nervous system, how to recognize your body and your mind responding to stress and then teach you specific, easy and even fun techniques to shift your nervous system out of a stress response so you can feel and be calm.
We’ll spend 2 and ½ hours for this interactive Stress and Anxiety Relief Yoga Session. You will learn the stress and anxiety relieving techniques as I take you through a fun and empowering yoga session. No yoga experience is necessary! We’ll end with a Spa- like meditation and where you get to rest under cozy or weighted blankets as I lead you into deep relaxation.
You will leave with a generous packet of reference information and descriptive resources so you can continue to practice the techniques that will give you calm and control in your mind, body and in your life.
Karen Penfold is a certified YogaFaith, Trauma Informed Yoga instructor and a Trauma Recovery Somatic Practitioner offering women of all ages relief, healing and hope from anxiety, overwhelm and trauma, as they transform their lives using body- based therapies to regulate their nervous systems, so they can thrive in wholeness and live out the abundant life God has for them.
